A Simple Rule to Charging Electronic Devices

On my free time, I like to learn more about hardware, software and different technologies. I publish articles about my recent learnings or the projects I have done.
This short article explains why it's crucial to only use the charger and other chargers that are the same as the original, manufactured by the official company, to charge their electronic devices.
Every electronic device has a battery and must be charged over time to power it on. It is highly recommended to use, the same charger or buy another charger that is the same as the original that came with the electronic device. The reason is, by observing a laptop or phone charger specifies the voltage amount needed to charge it. Every device contains a power supply in the charger port to take the recommended voltage. Every device also has another component called a voltage regulator to constantly convert the incoming current to the specified voltage stated on the device's charger. If a lower voltage powers up the device, it will not provide a strong enough charge and take longer to increase the battery, which can potentially damage it as well. Charging a device with a higher voltage will damage the battery since the voltage regulator is not designed to store higher or maintain any excess voltage. Other third-party companies or manufacturers also create chargers for many devices by using different materials, which can be a potential hazard to damaging a device's battery. Once again, it is always recommended to use the same charger or buy a replacement charger the same as the old one, to charge the device to prevent battery damage.
